Home Health Care

No Place Like Home… Health

After a stay at a hospital or long term care facility, a patient may need more treatment and they may not have the capability to get out to a hospital or clinic, due to many varying circumstances. That’s where Home Health Care comes in.

There are times when extended care is needed, even beyond a Long Term Acute Care Hospital. Home health care services help patients recuperate after a surgical procedure or receiving acute care for an injury or illness. Generally, home care is appropriate whenever a person prefers to stay at home but needs ongoing care that cannot be easily or effectively provided solely by family and friends. Home health services provide a variety of medical and therapeutic treatments for patients who want to recover in the privacy and comfort of their own home.

Your physician must recommend home care for you to qualify. There are many services offered with home care, including:

  • Skilled Nursing
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
  • Medical Social Services
  • Home Health Aide

We at LifeCare provide expert, caring support for patients managing specific conditions or changes that come with illness or injury such as:

  • Congestive Heart Failure
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
  • Neurological Disease
  • Pain Management
  • Total Knee and Hip Replacement
  • Risk and Fall Prevention
  • Diabetes
  • Oncology
  • Wound Care and Pressure Ulcers

For the past few years, LifeCare Health Partners has proudly offered a variety of home-based health care services to communities in Florida and Texas. And, earlier this year, we welcomed two Nevada-based agencies, Care First and EverCare, to our family.  With more than 10,000 Americans turning 65 every day in the United States, according to the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, the need for home-based health care will only increase over the next few years. We look forward to continuing to grow and expand our services and presence in communities across the country.

November is National Home Health and Hospice month. Please join us in recognizing and thanking the more than 885 associates who work in our Home Health Division at LifeCare, as well as all home health caregivers nationwide. We appreciate your work to deliver world-class care, compassion, kindness and comfort to our patients – or supporting those who do. The work you do is not easy, but your efforts greatly impact those we are privileged to serve and play a key role in fulfilling our mission to accelerate healing, restore health and improve life.
