The Respiratory Therapy team at LifeCare Hospitals of Chester County has earned the American Association for Respiratory Care’s APEX Award for the second time. It is the first and only LTACH in the U.S. to receive this prestigious award for the 2017-2018 and 2019-2020 terms. The hospital is one of only 17 hospitals in the country to receive this honored recognition, and the only LTACH in the nation to be included on that list. The AARC Apex Recognition Award recognizes the significant contribution of respiratory therapists and highlight best practices in respiratory care that are aligned with evidence-based medicine. This Apex Award program also helps consumers choose healthcare facilities that promote patient safety by providing access to respiratory therapists to deliver their care.
